Les Collons, located at an altitude of 1,300m with lifts reaching up to 2,100m, there are 200 km of marked runs suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts. The area also features a snow park known as Central Park.

Les Masses is a smaller resort situated at 1,515m, featuring a new high-speed chairlift that provides direct access to the 4 Vallées ski area. It lies between the village of Hérémence and the resorts of Les Collons and Thyon 2000.

Hérémence, while at a lower altitude, provides easy access to nearby ski areas, including Les Masses, Les Collons, and Thyon 2000.

The 4 Vallées area is well-suited for all skiing abilities, with over half the pistes rated for intermediates. It’s also popular for off-piste and freeride skiing, with the longest descent offering a vertical drop of about 1,600m.

In the Thyon-Les Collons-Hérémence area, there are beginner-friendly zones equipped with easy pistes and "magic carpet" lifts, a ski school offering lessons for all ages and skill levels, and a children’s snow garden in Thyon 2000. The region also provides other winter activities such as snowshoeing, winter hiking, and cross-country skiing.

The iconic Mont Fort peak, accessible from this region, provides some of the best vistas and skiing experiences in Switzerland.

Thanks to their high elevation, Les Collons, Les Masses, and Hérémence enjoy a reliable snow season stretching from December through April.
 

Summer in Les Collons - Les Masses

The region boasts 500 km of walking and hiking trails suitable for all levels. Highlights include easy walks along historic irrigation channels, or "Suonen," such as the Bisse de Vex; the "Val d'Hérens" tour through traditional villages and hamlets; and scenic trails around the Grande Dixence dam and reservoir.

For mountain biking enthusiasts, there are 330 km of trails, with cable cars available to transport bikes during the summer. Other popular activities include electric biking, photography walks in Val des Dix, and evening visits to mountain pastures.

Les Masses offers stunning views of the Matterhorn and Dent Blanche, while Hérémence is known for its charming hamlets, blending traditional and modern architecture. The Grande Dixence dam, a "must-see Valais site," is located at the bottom of the valley and is a popular landmark.

In Hérémence, visitors can explore a rural multi-site museum that reflects 20th-century life, featuring a forge, mill, communal oven, and traditional homes. The village of Mâche, recognized as a Swiss site of national importance, has a heritage trail winding through its narrow alleys. Hérémence's bold, contemporary church is another notable landmark.

Throughout the summer, Les Collons, Les Masses, and Hérémence host a variety of events. From local Swiss festivals to cultural gatherings, there’s always something happening in these alpine villages.
