Buyers’ FAQs for Switzerland
What are the staged payments when buying a property in Switzerland off plan?
If you are buying off plan in Switzerland, there are a few staged payments that will have to be made. Payment structures differ depending on the developer. Typically, you would pay 30% when the notary’s deed of sale is agreed, and staged payments are made as the foundations and roof are started and then finally on hand over of keys. When using bank finance, you pay the initial 30% and the bank stages the remaining payments as and when they are needed.
