Montafon Resort Guide
Montafon or "Muntafu" in local dialect is a 39km long valley in the popular Vorarlberg region of Austria and close to Swiss border. This is a picture-perfect region of Austria that includes everything that tourists and property investors are looking for. From quaint villages such as St.Gallenkirch to towering 3,000m+ mountains such as the Piz Buin. The largest ski region – Silvretta Montafon – covers 141kms of piste with over 50% of it above 2,000m. It is now one of the largest and most snow sure ski regions in Austria and was formed after the connection of the Nova and Hochjock ski regions in 2008. Montafon is a popular destination throughout the year. Top summer highlights include the Hochjoch Adventure Mountains where families with children enjoy family-friendly hikes, kids motor sports, high-alpine lakes and some incredible scenery.
